Some of my original paintings will be selected and used for a limited edition print run. This means that a specified number of prints will be produced (for example 200), and then no more will ever be re-produced. Each print will be hand signed and numbered by myself and a certificate of authenticity will be provided. Some of the limited edition prints will be printed using the Giclee print process.
Giclee is the use of the ink-jet printing process for producing fine art, large format digital prints. The term Giclee (pronounced zhee-clay) is derived from the French word gicler, meaning ‘’to squirt, to spray’’. It is used to describe any high-resolution, large-format inkjet printer output with fade resistant dye, or pigment based inks.
Basically, although you are buying a print, it will look and feel like an original painting. The quality is superb.
Selected original paintings will be re-produced on request under the term ‘Open Edition’. This means that, unlike the limited edition prints, these prints can be re-produced as many times as required.
These open edition prints will be re-produced using the Giclee printing process to ensure that the quality remains constant throughout my range of available prints.
